My family and I would like to thank the residents of Palm Garden Sun City for partnering with Overland Missions and us. We were able to purchase 4 cows due to the generosity of you and several others who felt led to support us.
Beginning with the first day of my rehabilitation treatment to the day of discharge, two weeks later, the entire staff helped me to recover from open heart surgery. Without exception, they acted with competence and treated everyone with regard to preserving human dignity.
Gentle persons:
As a 79-year-old retired surgeon and former hospital owner, I am quite familiar with the various levels of care available to postoperative patients. As a recent patient, I am also acutely aware of how important the role of dedicated personnel becomes in delivering health care that physicians and management have prescribed.
On Sept 14, 2015, I underwent a left total knee replacement surgery and was transferred on Sept 17 to Palm Garden H&R Center in Sun City Center, FL.
My first impression of your facility came from a pre-op visit to three facilities in the Sun City Center area, near my home. Thus I chose PGH&R for my postoperative Skilled Nursing care and Physical Therapy.
During and after my transfer/admission to PG, I asked of each person that I encountered, how long they had been with PGH&R. The responses ranged from 8 years to 23+ years. This suggests a contented staff-that management is making the employees feel valued, worthy, and secure. Everyone I spoke with seemed to enjoy their job.
While my overall impression was favorable, a few individuals stand out as going above and beyond the call to make my stay comfortable and productive.
1. Director of Nursing. Warm, caring, dedicated, outstanding leader and teacher.
2. Unit Manager: Efficient, caring, concerned. Excellent leader.
3. Floor nurses who pay attention to detail, respond quickly to patient needs.
4. CNA – a kind and loving soul who genuinely delivers compassion
5. Physical Therapy department could not have been more considerate or helpful.
6. Drivers were caring and concerned for patient safety and comfort.
Once again, successful management comes from the top. Management at this facility is clearly successful.
My intention in writing this note is to thank the management and staff of Palm Garden Sun City Center for the excellent care provided me during my recent stay.
You provide a much-needed service to our community, and your staff delivers it with love and care.
